Portrait shots

For this one I tried different perepectives and an object that he could look at instead of at me taking his picture.

With this one I tried different angles and framed the shot using the subject. I also gave him "looking room" within the shot. Though in the readig it said that breakign the rule sometimes makes for an intersting shot.

I was trying with adding multiple subjects.

I tried different angles, lighting and poses. I had not tried over the shoulder. I was framing with the stair railing.

Week 10 Paint

I love this tool. I had so much fun with it. You can go from minor adjustments, creating highlights to full color change. The textures, values and depth can be manipulated to create the feeling or message wanted.

For this one I used the bucket tool to fill in color to selected spaces. Then I used the paint brush to add pink highlights to Makayla's hair.  The banks I feathered, fade out selection.

I used the bucket tool to add color to the sky. Then used the paint brush to create birds and add white caps to the water.  I also used an airbrush to add violet and different shades of blue to the water.

Week 10 Text

For this picture I added names and the date. It was easier than I anticipated.  It did take me a little while to work to the process of moving the text and resizing.  I am sure there is  lot more I could do such as inverting the text.  It will be interesting to continue to work with.

Again on this picture I added the title and date.

Week 10 Cloning

This was a lot of fun. I can see using this a lot more to enhance my pictures!  The first one of the flower is the original. I added additional flowers and removed the partial pink one in the lower right corner.

The first one below is the original. I removed the grass from the frog and from around the cardinal. I also cloned the statues/gnomes that you could only see part of in the back of the photo.

Week 8 Light and Color

This is a picture of my daughters basketball team after they won the State Championships.  I used the select tool and decreased the hue behind the team and increased the light on the team itself.

This is a picture at the VSO concert. I especially liked the cloud formation. I wish I had understood the rule of thirds at the time but still like formation.

I inverted the color on this one. I am not sure I like the outcome though it was a dramatic change and really highlighted the cloud swirl.

Using the same photo I changed the color.  It really defines the cloud formation that drew me to taking the photo.

Week 7 Crop/ Move/Select

This was both an interesting, fun  and frustrating process. I enjoyed working with the program but found that in my inexperience I didn't always end up with the result I had intended.  There is so much that can be done, I am not sure where to start!  Such potential!
